Winter Cycling for Beginners

Wednesday, October 19, 6-8pm @ AK Cycle Chic

Take the mystery out of riding a bike through the snow by spending an evening with Janice Tower! Janice will flatten the learning curve by showing you how to prepare for your winter biking adventures. Covered topics include equipment, how to dress, and how to fuel and hydrate for comfortable and fun winter riding.

Janice Tower was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. She grew up ski racing on the slopes of Alyeska, and was an avid kayaker and windsurfer before turning her attention to cycling. She has raced in all disciplines of cycling including mountain and road, but her passion is long distance fatbiking. Janice has participated in the Iditarod Trail Invitational to McGrath 6 times, as well as 10 Susitna 100 races. Janice is a Level 1 certified cycling coach and has worked with athletes to help them achieve their goals for 18 years.
